There have been requests... This is for those who know about wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.

Go to home depot (or other) find the cheapest floodlight and take out the motion detector, wire that up to a 24vac transformer. Then hook up the 24vas transformer to a sprinkler solenoid. Then hook up the water solenoid to a sprinkler (the kind that is mechanical with swing arm,not only them getting wet, but the noise will startle them too). Hook up a water hose. Position everything in area to be protected and keep motion detector in test mode and adjust sensitivity.

One of my all time favorite gyverisms was the motion detection water sprinkler pet deterrent.

I used to have a Dog that would love using the driveway as his spot. I've tried all the conventional way to stop him when I wasn't there. They didn't work so I went to the hardware store and got a sprinkler, water solenoid, motion detection floodlight, some wood, PVC pipes, transformer, and some wires.

For there on, every time my dog will go on the driveway, the sprinkler will active and scare him off.

I'd imagine this will work perfectly for those nasty raccoons, and other animals that constantly raid your garbage or annoy you when you are not there.
