Here is our conversion from a standard battery found at a major department store that is modified to be used for the Macbook. Recently we set out to see how much it would really cost to use an external battery with our Macbook book. We were very surprised that it could set you back as far as back as $499.99 (on sale too!). We wondered if we can build ourselves one from local stores that will give us the same performance and for fraction of the cost. Well, we did.
